Services

The Township Provides the Following Services to Residents

Street Number Signs

Numbered address signs are available at the Municipal Building on Waller Divide Road to all Jackson Township residents at $20 per sign. Columbia County Emergency Services strongly recommends that all residents clearly display this numbered sign in front of their home to facilitate location of the property in the case of emergency.

Pipe

The Township purchases corrugated pipe for a number of uses, and this volume can often result in lower prices. If available, the Township can sell residents small lengths of pipe at this advantageous price. If the needed pipe the Township can add any residents requested pipe to their next order, and again sell at an advantageous price.

Cinders

During the winter months residents may take up to 2 5-gallon buckets of cinders to help with ice etc. Please note that cinders may only be taken during normal office hours. Residents are restricted to unsalted cinders, which are located in the left stall at the rear of the Township Maintenance building. Salted cinders are not only much more expensive, they may ruin your dirt or gravel driveway.
